Birthday Party Decoration Ideas for a Farmhouse

Looking for birthday decoration ideas for a farmhouse party? A farmhouse gives you a lawn, a pool and an indoor hall, which means three great spots to decorate. You do not need a big budget to make it look amazing. Here are the ideas our guests love most.

1. Balloon arch at the entrance

A balloon arch in your theme colours welcomes guests and makes the first photo of the day.

2. Fairy light lawn

String fairy lights across the lawn and add low seating with cushions. It looks magical after sunset. We have set this up for many guests at our farmhouses.

3. Pool decor

Floating balloons, floating candles in the evening and a few inflatables turn the pool into the centre of the party.

4. Cake table backdrop

A neon “Happy Birthday” sign, a sequin wall or a flower wall behind the cake table makes perfect photos.

5. Photo corner

Add a frame, props and a ring light in one corner. Guests love it and it keeps the crowd busy.

6. Birthday decoration ideas for kids

Superheroes, unicorns, jungle or cartoons. Match balloons, cake and return gifts to one theme. Our Kids Birthday Party at a Farmhouse in Noida: A Parent’s Guide guide has more on planning for kids.

Tips before you decorate

Ask for access time so your decorator can set up before guests arrive.
Use tape and hooks that do not damage walls.
Keep candles away from curtains and the lawn.
Plan who will clear up the decoration at the end.
